A Day for Men XIV Shows What it Means to Be a “Purpose-Driven Man”
February 12, 2020 •

Since it first began in 2007, “A Day for Men” has been inviting Christian men through church doors to bolster faith and feed souls. This year’s retreat will take place Saturday, Feb. 29 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The theme is “The Purpose Driven Man.”

All men, 15 years old and up, are invited to this day-long retreat at Resurrection Parish (3383 University Blvd N, Jacksonville). The event is completely free, although a free-will offering will be accepted to defray costs.

A Day for Men is supported by a fantastic lineup of speakers. The day will begin with a special video presentation from Steve Bollman, founder of Paradisus Dei”s program “That Man is You!” Next, Brian Sexton, motivational speaker and “Voice of the Jags,” will speak on the “double-minded man,” followed by not one, but two talks from international lay Catholic evangelist Tom Edwards. Finally, diocesan Judicial Vicar Father Peter Akin-Otiko will speak on taking the disciples’ step of faith.
