Did you know? Jacksonville is one of 50 port cities that is served by Apostleship of the Sea Ministry. Locally, one maritime deacon & five lay ecclesial ministers participate in this ministry. They are responsible for operating 2 welcoming centers (Blount Island and Talleyrand Marine terminal) and provide additional services to 5 other marine terminals in the St. Johns River basin. Ministry staff & volunteers visit ships – bringing resources, rosaries, & religious materials in an effort to reach out to seafarers, fisher men & women, & their families, & all who work or travel on the seas. Your faithful support of the Bishop’s Annual Stewardship Appeal helps provide assistance to Diocesan ministries like AOS Ministry. Go to www.dosafl.com/ways-to-give/ to make your 2019 gift today.
