Bishop Felipe Estévez will celebrate Mass and bless the holy oils which are used throughout the year in the diocese. Three oils are blessed and used for the sacramental anointing, such as the anointing of the sick, the anointing of those about to be newly baptized, and the anointing of priests and those being confirmed into the church. And it is at this Mass that the priests of the diocese renew their promises to serve God and his people.
