Judicial Vicar
The Judicial Vicar is appointed by the bishop to serve as the chief judge for the diocese with ordinary power. According to Canon Law, he oversees the Tribunal or Court of the Catholic Church. The Tribunal adjudicates marriage annulments, due process/dispute resolution and cases involving church law.

The son of Alfred Lindenfelser and Doris Lindenfelser, Timothy Lindenfelser was born in Bethpage, N.Y. Nov. 21, 1966. He has three brothers: Alfred Lindenfelser, Jr., Stephen and Richard.

Father Lindenfelser attended one year at Berner High School in Massapequa, N.Y. before moving to Venice, Fla. where he attended Venice Middle School and High School. For college he attended the University of Florida in Gainesville where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

In 1988 he attended St. Meinrad Seminary in St. Meinrad, Ind. and in 1989 he attended St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach, Fla. where he received a master’s degree in Theology in 1993 and a master’s of Divinity in 1994.

Father Lindenfelser was ordained to the priesthood on May 7, 1994 by Bishop John J. Snyder at the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Augustine.

During the summers from 1999 to 2003, Father Lindenfelser studied Canon Law at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. He earned a licentiate degree in Canon Law.
