Local Concert Benefits Persecuted Christians in the Middle East
September 13, 2019 •

Can you imagine having to practice your faith in secret? Being harassed or forced to leave your home just because you’re Christian? For many Christians in the Middle East, this is a harsh reality.

While the Middle East is thousands of miles away, you can support your fellow Christians from home. Télé Lumière, the Middle East’s first and only Christian television station, is hosting a benefit concert right here in the Diocese of St. Augustine at UNF Robinson Theater on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 6 p.m.

Internationally-acclaimed Lebanese singer, Tania Kassis, will perform in Arabic, French, English & Spanish to raise funds for this cause. Learn more about her at www.taniakassis.com. All proceeds will go to Télé Lumière /Noursat. Bishop Estévez will attend as guest of honor.

Télé Lumière is the only media outlet in the Middle East that reports on the plight of Christian minorities and works diligently to alleviate their suffering. It is not associated with any political party or movement, does not broadcast any political views and does not accept or promote any commercial endorsements. As a non-profit broadcasting station, it survives only from various donations given by its supporters and friends, and right now, it is operating under a 2-million-dollar deficit.

Concert tickets are $60 each. To purchase your tickets, contact Dr. Bassam Rizk by calling (904)-731-3131 or email basri@comcast.net. To learn more about Télé Lumière/Noursat, click here.
