Diocesan Marriage Renewal
The Diocese of St. Augustine Marriage Renewal Program is designed to give married couples the opportunity to renew and revitalize marriages. It is not a retreat, marriage clinic, or group sensitivity. It's a unique approach aimed at revitalizing Christian marriage. This is a time for you and your spouse to be alone together. This is a time to rediscover each other and together focus on your relationship for an entire weekend.
Anniversary Celebration
The Anniversary Mass is an annual celebration to honor couples who are celebrating long term marriage. Couples celebrating 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50 or more years are invited to attend. Couples renew their wedding vows and have the opportunity to be honored by the Catholic community.
Registration forms are available in your parish by the 2nd weekend in September. Online registration will be available Sept. 1.
Families Following Christ
Families Following Christ is a Catholic ministry, devoted to the spiritual growth of the family, and is open to everyone. Its focus is to renew and enrich the spiritual life of the Catholic Family through faith-filled catechesis, service, prayer and fellowship. The ministry strives to be a community of faith, hope, and charity. All meetings are held at St. Joseph's Cody Enrichment Center, located at 4152 Loretto Road in Jacksonville.
Retrouvaille (Rediscovery)
Retrouvaille is a program designed to help and renew troubled marriages. The word Retrouvaille means "rediscovery." The program offers individuals the chance to rediscover yourself, your spouse, and a loving relationship in your marriage.
The program is for those who are thinking about separation or divorce, or those already separated but who wants their marriage to work. If you and your spouse are willing to put forth your best effort, then we invite you to come to Retrouvaille. This program is not the answer for every couple. The process involves commitment, communication and change. Each person must have the sincere desire to work on building a stable relationship. While Retrouvaille is a Catholic program, couples from all faiths are welcomed to attend the weekend.
Marriage Encounter
The objective of a Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend is to improve communication between husband and wife, and to provide more insight into what prevents married couples from communicating more effectively. The weekend also gives the couple a greater understanding of their sacrament of matrimony and how it affects others. The program has helped thousands of couples all over the world since its inception in 1968.
REFOCCUS
Looking for more ways to promote intimacy in marriage? REFOCCUS can be used in the privacy of the home. It is a series of questions that act as a discussion starter for couples. Cost: $15.
