The St. Gianna Guild of North Central Florida of the Catholic Medical Association is a lay Catholic organization of the Diocese of St. Augustine and a branch of the Catholic Medical Association.

The Guild provides support to fellow Catholic physicians and other health care providers to maintain fidelity to their faith; to help educate the lay faithful on the health care teachings of the Church and to help educate the local public on the health care teachings of the church. The Guild and the Catholic Medical Association integrate the principles of the Catholic faith into the science and practice of medicine. The local guild serves the national organization in providing participation from the grassroots level, and the national organization provides support to the local guild in terms of expert content and organizational assistance. The Guild is absolutely in conformity with the direction of our bishop and the teachings of the magisterium of the Catholic Church.

The St Gianna Guild meets at 10 a.m. after the 9 a.m. Mass on Saturday mornings every other month at Holy Faith Catholic Church in Gainesville.

Membership in the local guild is open to physicians, dentists, nurses, podiatrists and chiropractors, anyone holding a doctoral degree in a health-care related field, students, clergy, religious and anyone interested in integrating Catholic principles into health care. At least six members of the local guild must be physician members of the national Catholic Medical Association.
