Catholic Relief Services is working closely with government and local responders to offer assistance to the many families who have been affected by the eruption which has completely blanketed the surrounding areas in ash. Residents from the affected communities have been lining up since Monday, June 4 at shelters and collection centers for food and basic needs. More people will need help in the coming days as numbers continue to double at shelters and the number of deaths increases.
