Here is where your donation goes
General donations to the Diocese of St. Augustine – Areas of giving include direct gifts to the diocese, 35 diocesan ministries, 4 diocesan high schools and the Eucharistic Congress.
Bishop’s Annual Stewardship Appeal – Your generous gifts are used to fund Seminarian Education, Catholic Charities, support for Catholic education, efforts in Catholic evangelization, and housing support for our retired priests. In addition, because of the extraordinary support of our diocese, many more Diocesan ministries are supported in part thorough the additional funds raised. Click here for more details about this year’s annual stewardship appeal.
Catholic Foundation – A permanent endowment fund created to meet the religious, charitable and educational needs of Catholics in the 17-county area of the diocese. All gifts to this fund can be designated to any of the following areas: a parish or mission, a school, a ministry or the diocese. The recipient of your gift will receive the interest earned from your donation. You also have the option of giving a gift to the diocese without designating it for a specific purpose. - 70 1/2 years of age or older? An IRA Charitable Distribution Makes Sense!
- In 2015, Congress reauthorized the IRA rollover permanently. This means that if you are age 70 1/2 or older, you can make a charitable gift of up to $100,000 from your IRA per year and see the impact of your gift during your lifetime. Your gift will qualify for your required minimum distribution, and you will not have to pay federal income tax on the amount transferred directly from your IRA to charity.
