Come and See: Discover your vocation to religious life
July 9, 2014 • Diocese of St. Augustine

By Joy Batteh-Freiha

If you’re a single, young woman between the ages of 18 – 35, and curious about how one discovers a vocation to religious life, then you must attend “Come and See,” on Saturday, July 26, at 9:30 a.m., through Sunday, July 27, 11 a.m., at St. Joseph Convent in St. Augustine.

The overnight retreat – “How shall I discover my vocation?” will be filled with peace, prayerfulness and sharing with the Sisters of St. Joseph – one of oldest women religious orders of our diocese.

Through prayer, reflection and sharing of thoughts and ideas, the retreat is designed to help young women discern if God is calling them to serve him in a very special way. Learn if that insistent tug in your heart is His way of inviting you to a special relationship with him.

The cost for the retreat is $50 and includes meals and overnight accommodations. Come, take the time to listen to God’s call and ask other women religious to share their discovery stories. Scholarships are available.
