A second “mini Faith Formation Day”, to serve the people in the Gainesville area, will be held on Saturday, January 31st at Queen of Peace Parish.
Our Sunday Visitor will sponsor part of the day. Our schedule for the day:
- 9:30 a.m. – Doors open
- 10:00 a.m. – Opening Prayer and short presentation
- 10:30 a.m. – Session I
- 12:00 p.m. – Lunch
- 12:45 p.m. – Session II
- 2:15 p.m. – Day closes
Designed to help people develop and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ, Faith Formation catechesis presents the faith in such a way that people’s hearts and minds are turned to Christ and His Church. The theme of this year’s event is “Old Wisdom for a New Age,” or “Sabiduria Antigua para una Nueva Era.”
There will be 5 workshops offered in the morning and 5 workshops in the afternoon. One Level I certification class will also be offered. Some of the topics include: Augustine’s Advice to Catechists, Doing the RCIA Rites Right, Ways to Pray from Your Heart and Evangelización como un modelo para la catequesis.
