Cathedral Basilica Plans Annual Corpus Christi Procession in St. Augustine

Renewing an ancient European tradition that dates to the 13th century, the parishioners of the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Augustine will hold their annual Corpus Christi Procession this Sunday, June 7. It will begin following a Solemn Mass at 11 a.m. Rev. Thomas Willis, rector of the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Augustine will be the principal celebrant and homilist for the Mass and the procession. Urge Governor Scott to Sign HB 633: 24-Hour Reflection Prior to Abortion

HB 633 by Rep. Jennifer Sullivan (R-Eustis) received final passage in the Florida House and Senate during the legislative session. The Senate companion bill was filed by Senator Anitere Flores (R-Miami). HB 633 was sent to Governor Rick Scott on May 27. The governor has until June 10 to either sign the bill or veto it, or he can let the measure become law without taking action. Please urge Governor Scott to sign this bill into law. Read More

Bhuban Rana, a soldier for the Nepalese army, was at his rented apartment in Kathmandu where his wife Prem Kumari Rana sat nursing their two-month-old daughter Bhumika in the open outdoor area of their compound while their older daughter Bhwana, 5, ran circles around the courtyard.
