Father Simeon Gallagher to Host Lenten Retreat

Kick off this year’s Lenten season with Father Simeon Gallagher, OFMCap. Father Gallagher will conduct a Lenten retreat at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fleming Island, Monday, March 25 through Thursday, March 28. The theme for the retreat is “A Spirituality of Relationships.” Each day will be broken down as follows:

  • Monday – Sustaining Good Relationships: Faith as a Foundation
  • Tuesday – Communication in Relationships: Prayer as Model
  • Wednesday – Breaking Relationships: Sin as Interpersonal
  • Thursday – Building Better Relationships: Graces for Growth

Each talk will begin at 7 p.m.  A shorter presentation will take place after the daily 8:00 a.m. Mass.

Father Gallagher conducts retreats, parish development programs, parish missions and religious education workshops. He has an international reputation in conducting retreats for priests. He was instrumental in founding Emmaus in Great Britain, and he has presented ecumenical lectures at the Jean XXIII Centre, Switzerland. For the past several years he has worked closely with the US Armed Forces at various military bases around the world.
