Consecration of the Diocese of St. Augustine to Our Lady of La Leche
Our Lady of La Leche, Mother Mary! We, the bishop and his flock – the Diocese of St. Augustine – come before you with tears of joy, tears of sorrow, and with all the people and concerns that flood our hearts.
We ask the Holy Spirit through St. Joseph for the grace to enter and remain within your Immaculate Heart, for it was there that the Son of the Father became Man and took on the Redemption of our flesh and blood.
Within your Heart we prostrate ourselves before the Most Holy Trinity – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – in complete abandonment to and worship of their Most Holy Will. Who would have thought that anyone could surrender themselves to another person as you surrendered yourself to the Father (Lk 1:38)? But that’s exactly what Jesus did in becoming Man!
Once you uttered your Fiat, the Father’s Son became your Son by the power of the Holy Spirit! And this Son – Jesus Christ – surrendered himself to you with the dependence of a baby in the womb and then a child at the breast! If God had such confidence to entrust his beloved son to you, why do we hold anything back from you, our most loving Mother!
We are sorry for keeping aloof from you, for not heeding your Son’s dying request – “Behold, your Mother!” (Jn 19:27)! Receive us now with all the tenderness and warmth of your heart and revive us with the pure “milk” of the Spirit!
In such a crucial hour of history we are thirsting for your help! Take us into your arms and heart and embrace us with all your love! Teach us to pray and to live always in God! We love you, we trust you, and we thank you! We are totally yours forever! Unite us to your son and make us most faithful to his will! Fiat nobis secundum Verbum Tuum! (“Be it done unto us according to Thy Word!”).
May the Holy Spirit seal this consecration and make us ever faithful to it. In the name of Jesus Christ and his Most Precious Blood we make our humble prayer.

Consagración de la Diócesis de San Agustín a Nuestra Señora de la Leche
¡Nuestra Señora de La Leche, Madre María! Nosotros, el obispo, y su rebaño – la Diócesis de San Agustín – venimos ante ti con lágrimas de alegría, lágrimas de dolor, y con todas las personas y preocupaciones que inundan nuestros corazones.
Pedimos al Espíritu Santo a través de San José la gracia de entrar y permanecer dentro de vuestro Inmaculado Corazón, porque fue allí donde el Hijo del Padre se hizo Hombre y asumió la Redención de nuestra carne y sangre.
Dentro de vuestro Corazón nos postramos ante la Santísima Trinidad – Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo – en completo abandono y adoración de su Santísima Voluntad. ¿Quién habría pensado que alguien podría entregarse a otra persona como tú te entregaste al Padre (Lc 1,38)? ¡Pero eso es exactamente lo que Jesús hizo al hacerse en Hombre!
¡Una vez que pronunciaste tu Fiat, el Hijo del Padre se convirtió en tu Hijo por el poder del Espíritu Santo! ¡Y este Hijo – Jesucristo – se entregó a ti con la dependencia de un bebé en el útero y luego de un niño de pecho! Si Dios tenía tanta confianza para confiarte a su hijo amado, ¿por qué retenemos algo de ti, nuestra Madre más amorosa!
Lamentamos mantenernos alejados de ti, por no oír con especial atención la petición de tu Hijo en la cruz: “¡He aquí, tu Madre!” (Jn 19,27)! ¡Recíbenos ahora con toda la ternura y calidez de tu corazón y revívenos con la “leche” pura del Espíritu!
¡En una hora tan crucial de la historia estamos sedientos de tu ayuda! ¡Llévanos en tus brazos y corazón y abrázanos con todo tu amor! ¡Enséñanos a orar y a vivir siempre en Dios! ¡Te amamos, confiamos en ti y te damos las gracias! ¡Somos totalmente tuyos para siempre! ¡Únete a tu hijo y haznos más fieles a su voluntad! Fiat nobis secundum Verbum Tuum! (“¡Hágase en nosotros según Tu Palabra!”).
Que el Espíritu Santo selle esta consagración y nos haga siempre fieles a ella. En el nombre de Jesucristo y su Preciosísima Sangre hacemos nuestra humilde oración.

Prayer of Thanksgiving and Invocation
This prayer is prayed before the crowning of the image(s).
Blessed are you, Lord, God of heaven and earth, for in your mercy and justice you cast down the mighty and exalt the lowly. Your marvelous wisdom is shown above all in the Word made flesh and in his Virgin Mother. For he, your Son, who freely humbled himself even to death on the cross, now sits at your right hand and is radiant with unending glory, the King of kings and Lord of lords; and she, the Virgin who wished to be called your servant, and true Mother of all the living: now she is exalted above the choirs of angels and reigns in glory with her Son, praying for all of us, the Queen of mercy, pleading for grace. Merciful Lord, look upon us your servants, who, by crowning this image of Christ and his Mother, proclaim him as King of all creation and approach her as our queen.
Give us the grace to follow them in serving you; to do what love demands for the sake of our brothers and sisters; to deny ourselves and spend ourselves, so as to win our neighbors for you; to be lowly on earth, so as to be exalted in heaven where you reward your faithful servants with a crown of life. Through Christ our Lord.

Oración de Acción de Gracias e Invocación
Esta oración se reza antes de la coronación de la(s) imagen(es).
Bienaventurado eres tú, Señor, Dios del cielo y de la tierra, porque en tu misericordia y justicia echas a los poderosos y exaltas a los humildes. Vuestra maravillosa sabiduría se muestra sobre todo en el Verbo hecho carne y en su Virgen Madre. Porque él, vuestro Hijo, que se humilló libremente hasta la muerte en la cruz, ahora se sienta a vuestra diestra y está radiante de gloria interminable, el Rey de reyes y Señor de señores; y ella, la Virgen que deseó ser llamada vuestra sierva, y quien es verdadera Madre de todos los vivos: ahora es exaltada por encima de los coros de ángeles y reina en gloria con su Hijo, orando por todos nosotros, la Reina de la misericordia, suplicando gracias por nosotros. Señor misericordioso, dirige tu mirada hacia nosotros tus siervos, quienes, coronando esta imagen de Cristo y su Madre, lo proclamamos como Rey de toda la creación y nos acercamos a ella como nuestra reina.
Danos la gracia de seguir a Jesus, el Senor y estar a tu servicio; haciendo lo que el amor exige por el bien de nuestros hermanos y hermanas; negándonos a nosotros mismos y entregándonos, para ganar a nuestro prójimo para ti; siendo humildes en la tierra, para ser exaltados en el cielo donde recompensas a tus fieles siervos con una corona de vida. A través de Cristo nuestro Señor.
