Diocese Kicks Off Inaugural #iGiveCatholic Campaign
November 3, 2021 •

#iGiveCatholic is the Catholic counterpart to Giving Tuesday, which falls on Nov. 30 this year. And for the first time, the Diocese of St. Augustine, through the Catholic Foundation, is participating in #iGiveCatholic to give thanks and give back to the Catholic community, beginning as early as Monday, Nov. 15.

Last fall, 40 partnering dioceses and the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA) raised more than $12.7 million for 2,600+ participating parishes, schools, and ministries. Since its inaugural year in 2015, the #iGiveCatholic Giving Day has yielded continued growth in not only the number of participating dioceses and their participating nonprofits but also total donations, both online and offline, and average gift amount.

The goal of the #iGiveCatholic Giving Day is to rally our Catholic community in support of the organizations that shape our souls: our parishes, schools, and nonprofit ministries. Secure, tax-deductible donations to eligible Catholic organizations located in participating dioceses can be made at iGiveCatholic.org during our Advanced Giving Day Phase beginning at midnight on Monday, Nov. 15, continuing right into #GivingTuesday, Nov. 30, and ending at 11:59 p.m.

Those ministries and organizations participating under the Diocese of St. Augustine can be found under the diocesan #iGiveCatholic landing page at https://staugustine.igivecatholic.org. The web page features photos, videos, copy, and a donate button to tell that organization’s story, their impact on the community and the church, and what the organization will do with the funds raised. Some organizations’ pages include a thermometer and ticker tape updating total donations in real-time, affording parishioners, alumni, parents and supporters the opportunity to track how their favorite parish, school or ministry is doing on the Giving Day.
