Bishop Estévez Joins the Holy Father for the Act of Consecration for Humanity
March 22, 2022 • Diocese of St. Augustine

While the Holy Father consecrates all of humanity to the Immaculate Heart of Mary this Friday, March 25, Bishop Felipe Estévez will make the Act of Consecration for the Diocese of St. Augustine at noon that day. It will be livestreamed from the Sacred Heart Chapel at the Catholic Center in Jacksonville. To view the livestream, visit Facebook.com/DOSACatholics, YouTube.com/DOSACatholics or dosafl.com/livestream.

Pope Francis plans to begin with a celebration of penance at 5 p.m. (noon EST), followed by the Act of Consecration at 6:30 p.m. (1:30 p.m. EST).

Bishop Estévez encourages all clergy, religious, the faithful, and members of our community to take part in this consecration in fraternal union. However, the bishop offers guidance that the Act of Consecration in parishes and for individuals need not occur simultaneously with the Holy Father or with him. Rather, it is left to the pastor’s discretion to determine when he may best actively engage the faithful of his parish to gather in prayer on Friday.
