Young people are invited to join us for the 2022 Multicultural Youth Conference, Oct. 29

The Multicultural Youth and Young Adult Ministry of the Diocese of St. Augustine, in collaboration with the Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry, is hosting the Multicultural Youth Conference (MYC) on Saturday, Oct. 29, at Christ the King Catholic Church. At MYC, Catholic youth of various multicultural backgrounds will have a place to share their culture or ethnicity with each other. 

All youth, ages 12 to 17, will have an opportunity to hear dynamic talks about the realities of living as a multicultural youth, celebrations of unique aspects of different cultures through food, dance and art, and other activities to help create friendships between youth of different backgrounds.

The theme of MYC is “United,” and will focus on how youth can apply these three Scripture passages to their daily lives:

I appeal to you, brothers, and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you perfectly united in mind and thought. (1 Corinthians 1:10)

For where two or three meet in my name, I am there among them. (Matthew 18:20)

They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers. (Act 1:14)

The Diocese of St. Augustine is blessed to have several cultural ministries and communities –African American, Albanian, Brazilian, Burmese, European American, Filipino, Haitian, Hispanic, Vietnamese and more – but we are all united in one church and nourished by Jesus in the Eucharist.
