Clergy, catechists and lay ministers will have a chance to learn, grow and improve in their ministry at the 35th Annual Faith Formation Day on Saturday, Oct. 26. The event will begin with Mass at 8:30 a.m. celebrated by Bishop Felipe Estévez at Bishop Snyder High School (5001 Samaritan Way,
Jacksonville, 32210). This year’s theme is “Missionary Disciples Needed: Some Assembly Required,” with Deacon Matt Halback, Ph.D. as keynote speaker.

Besides several workshops of interest to the laity in regards to the diocesan strategic plan, there will again be a clergy session which will focus on practical elements for parishes and schools in regards to evangelization, accompaniment, and forming missionary disciples. The full schedule for the day is as follows:

7:30 am Doors open/light breakfast
8:30 am Mass with Bishop Estévez as celebrant
9:30 am   Keynote presentation by Deacon Matt Halbach, Ph.D

You can register as a group from a parish or individual registration of $30.  This fee includes light breakfast and lunch.
Parishes and schools are encouraged to register as a group (multiples of 4 for $100). Multiples of four are $100. Individual registration is $40. This fee includes light breakfast and lunch. Since the clergy session ends with lunch, the fee for clergy is set at $25.
