Solemnity of the Nativity of the Lord

Please note that in 2023, the Solemnity of the Nativity of Our Lord (Christmas) will occur on Monday, December 25. Vigil Masses for the Solemnity (holy day of obligation) may be celebrated after 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 24. Pastors will need to determine how this will affect the parish’s normal Mass schedule for Sundays (the Lord’s Day) and ensure that the faithful are clear what Masses are for the Fourth Sunday of Advent and which are for Christmas and its Vigil.
