Vatican Exhibit of Sacred Relics Visits the Diocese of St. Augustine

June 1 @ 6:30 pm

An extraordinary exhibit of relics of Saints will tour Florida in May. Companions of the Cross Father Carlos Martins, director of the Treasures of the Church Ministry and a Vatican-appointed expert on relics, will be visiting parishes with a collection of over 160 relics owned by the Vatican. Father Martins will talk about the spiritual significance of relics to Catholics. Visitors will be able to examine and venerate mostly first-class relics from the Apostles, St. Mary Magdalene, St. Joseph, St. Maria Goretti, St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Anthony of Padua, St. Thomas Aquinas, as well as a portion of the Veil of Our Lady, and one of the largest remaining pieces of the True Cross outside the Vatican. In some locations, confession will be available. The exhibit will travel to select parishes in the Diocese of St. Augustine. Visit for an updated schedule or call Vicky Yardley, Florida tour coordinator at (954) 695-1609 or Katy Lockard, Diocese of St. Augustine coordinator at (904) 262-3200, ext. 120, for more information.
