The St. Johns Chapter of the Catholic Writers Guild is an organization of writers, poets, musicians, artists, editors, illustrators, and anyone interested in the written word. We are dedicated to building a vibrant Catholic artistic culture, by providing information and training to assist members in their endeavors. We encourage our members’ creativity and foster an environment of sharing and networking with other members.

We uphold the orthodox teachings of our faith with established guidelines of the Catholic Writers Guild. We strive to work with honesty, integrity, and justice to present the truth without distortion.

All are welcome to attend our monthly meetings and events at no cost. We charge no local dues.

Meeting Location and Times

The Chapter usually meets on the second Saturday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to Noon in the auditorium at St. Paul’s Catholic Church (Riverside), 2609 Park Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32204.  At each meeting, speakers present talks and workshops on various topics related to the craft of writing, along with group discussions and opportunities for members to have their individual writings critiqued.
