2023 Lenten Series: The Catholic Mass Explained

The Diocese of St. Augustine is sponsoring a five-part weekly series on the Mass at Marywood Retreat & Conference Center, 235 Marywood Dr., St. Johns, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. each Monday night. Co-sponsored by the Eucharistic Revival Committee and the Office of Christian Formation, there is no charge but a free-will offering from those in attendance would be appreciated. Guest speakers are: Dr. Bernie Sans, “Singing to the Lord: Sacred Music in Worship” on Mar. 6; Father Tom Willis, “Celebrating the Paschal Mystery: History & Development of the Liturgy” on Mar. 13; Father Timothy Lindenfelser, “Proclaiming & Responding: The Liturgy of the Word” on Mar. 20; Letty Valentin, M.A., “Joining in the Sacrifice: The Liturgy of the Eucharist” on Mar. 27; Father Michael Kieler, “Living the Liturgical Year: How the Church Marks Time” on Apr. 3.
