457th Anniversary Founder’s Day Celebration

Join us for our Annual Founder’s Day Celebration! Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 10am at 101 San Marco Ave, St. Augustine, FL 32084. The historical reenactment of the Landing of Pedro Menendez in 1565 and founding of the city of St. Augustine will be presented by the Historic Florida Militia: Men of Menendez. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will follow at the outdoor Rustic Altar. Our newly ordained bishop, Most Rev. Erik Pohlmeier will celebrate his first Founder’s Day Mass. This is a FREE, family-friendly event open to the public. Please bring your lawn chairs, sunscreen, water bottles, family, and friends to celebrate the founding of the city of St. Augustine and the establishment of Mission Nombre de Dios. Afternoon activities will continue at the Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park at 11 Magnolia Ave, St. Augustine, FL 32084 (admission fees may apply).
